Early morning jig making…

This contraption is a jig to bend a 3” diameter plate that goes into the “cutaway” at the upper bout on the treble side of the ukulele body.
.
I was bending them by hand on a “hot pipe”, but now it is the number one upgrade requested by customers in my #elitemodelukulele . Speeding up the building process and making it more consistent as an added feature has its value.
Also it saves on yield in the precious resources used in our instruments.
.
This is the finished jig, number 3.0 and took a total of 4 days from conception to reality. We’ll find out how it works on its first attempt to bend some CSA rosewood for @ukekurt !
